Orange Wednesdays

Orange believes that films are like popcorn: they’re always nicer to share. For this reason every Wednesday, Orange offers its customers two cinema tickets for the price of one at participating cinemas.

Since launching five years ago, the Orange Wednesdays promotion has become a staple of the midweek social calendar. In the UK alone, more than 14 million Orange subscribers have already taken advantage of the deal, representing a combined savings on movie tickets of £30 million.
Unsurprising then that Wednesday is now the most popular day outside of the weekend to catch a flick.

the details

The Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 tickets apply to any screening shown to the public with the exception of private screenings and premieres.
The process is simple. All you have to do is text, call or surf for your Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 tickets.  Then present your voucher to the box office and redeem it for a free seat at the same screening and session.
There is a maximum of one ticket per Orange subscriber per week, which cannot be combined with any other promotion being conducted. Seats are available on a first come first served basis.
Today, Orange Wednesdays is a real success and exists in 8 countries all around Europe.

what Orange delivers

Orange subscribers can sign up for the weekly email to find latest film clips, reviews and cinema locations. This will keep you up to date on the latest films and help you plan what to see.
The free Orange Wednesdays mobile application lets subscribers check out previews of the latest films, find out where they're playing, read reviews and get your free ticket. In France, the promotion is valid on Tuesdays, and known as Orange Cinéday.

fact box

To mark the 5th anniversary of Orange Wednesdays in the UK, Orange installed the world’s biggest popcorn bucket, near the Tower of London. It was filled with more than a tonne of popcorn.
