The development of mobile internet, particularly in emerging countries, is paving the way for the appearance of original electronic payment solutions (Orange Money, Surf and Pay), as well as access to public services (e-health).
In addition to its ability to help its customers effectively manage growing data uses in a secure environment, Orange is already present on the three key technological trends for the coming years: cloud computing, a business service that is spreading to include general consumers, the internet of things, illustrated today by the development of machine to machine (M2M), and contactless technology (NFC), which will be incorporated into our day-to-day uses: paying for purchases in stores, buying tickets for transport, shows or football matches.
Tomorrow, other innovations will transform our lives. Our homes will be connected, the gaming world will be more intense and immersive, and towns and cities will become intelligent. Projects which thousands of visitors have already been able to discover thanks to the “hello tomorrow” exhibition, held in June 2011.
