Livebox Play: a more powerful, simpler multimedia experience

With an integrated screen, the ergonomics have been revamped to simplify interactions between the device and you.
Its design means it can sit comfortably alongside the other hi-fi equipment in your home. Its two more powerful Wi-Fi frequencies allow for better coverage at home, and guarantee a higher-quality TV experience. Telephony is not left out either, with an integrated DECT CAT-IQ base for easier wireless use with HD voice quality.
Lastly, its eco-design and intelligent standby mode mean it uses energy more efficiently.
The new Livebox Play will be previewed exclusively on the liveboxplay.orange.fr site. Pre-registration will be enabled, giving interested customers the chance to be among the first to use it as soon under preferential conditions as it is released in February 2013.

Orange TV: television where everything is possible

Livebox Play TV has a new, more user-friendly and faster interface. A state-of-the-art recommendation engine has been included, alongside an enhanced catalog of more than 100 games available to stream. Faster and more powerful, it opens the door to the Internet. Another point of note is a detailed “accessibility” menu, allowing the display to be fine-tuned to cater for various visual impairments, or to automatically pre-select subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, as well as audio description.

m2ocity: a practical, smart water meter

This service is offered by Orange in partnership with leading environmental services group, Veolia. Capitalizing on “machine-to-machine” technologies, the two companies created a joint venture with the aim of rolling out and operating a network of remote water meters, thus allowing the supplier to communicate with equipment and offer its customers new features and functions: remote consumption readings, optimized management thanks to the relaying of network status information, and improved environmental management thanks to leak detection, etc. Designed primarily for water networks, the system could also be applied to the supply of natural gas.
Remote water meter readings have been in operation for many years, but their use increased sharply in 2011 and was further enhanced by new services introduced during the second half of 2012.

My Plug: connected objects that make life easier

My Plug is a smart plug connected to the mobile GSM network, enabling the alerts it generates to be sent to your mobile phone. In turn, you can then execute commands from the same phone. These very simple exchanges are performed via text message.
The first version of My Plug was launched in the first half of 2012, and its ecosystem will be enhanced in 2013.
