WiFi is a wireless technology that is used in the home to connect our customers’ computers to the Livebox. This short-range wireless technology is also widely used in public locations: in France, the Group has already installed thousands of WiFi hotspots in hotels, airports and other busy public locations, providing laptop or smartphone users with wireless Internet access.

Wimax is another complementary wireless technology that, like 3G, can provide  coverage to large areas. This technology, which is not compatible with  GSM and 3G, is used by the Group to provide individual and business  customers with fixed services (phone and Internet), in countries where  the DSL network is little developed, in Romania and in different African countries (as Mali, Cameroun and Botswana).
