Herds of horses, cows, sheep, and goats will travel from Italy, Morocco and Camargue and meet on the Crau for an open-air caravanserai bringing together several thousands of people and animals, before moving on to Marseille on ‘a poetic journey celebrating nature’.
Follow the TransHumance journey from May 18 to June 9 live on your mobile thanks to the official app developed by Orange and be a part of the adventure. All Orange mobiles in service along the TransHumance route will be shown on a 3D relief map, allowing you to make your mark alongside the tracks of the herds and help to create a work of digital art.

delve into the history of cinema in La Ciotat and switch between real and virtual worlds

La Ciotat is the birthplace of cinema. The Eden Théâtre, the world’s oldest cinema, has been refurbished for the occasion.

the Eden Théâtre mobile app
Discover the historical and cultural heritage of La Ciotat thanks to an app developed by Orange. The app will allow you to discover places of interest close to your location, and to access brand new multimedia content and share it via social media.
It will be available free of charge in French and English on the App Store and Google Play from March 21, 2013.

the Cinégraphe: the world’s first barometer of cinema activity and audience numbers
Thanks to social media, cinemas are no longer simply places to watch films. They are also virtual spaces in which the public can interact by giving their opinions, posting comments, and ‘checking-in’.
For the first time, Orange Labs is exploring these new forms of virtual relationships between the public and cinemas, and is developing a tool that will enable this to be presented visually.

discover a large-scale exhibition with the Grand Atelier du Midi app

Orange is the digital partner for the Grand Atelier du Midi exhibition which takes place from June 13 to October 13, and is developing a fun and educational app especially for the occasion. The app will give you the opportunity to discover 30 of the exhibition’s major pieces and to access the locations where they were created thanks to a geolocation map and augmented reality. You’ll be able to visit and photograph the landscapes which have inspired the great painters and make your own contribution to a ‘great open-air studio’.

move to the sound of the Festivals

Orange is giving its support to the Marsatac music festival, a hub of electronic music dedicated to international hip-hop, electro and rock.

The Orange Foundation is involved in some of the world’s biggest musical events, including supporting Babel Med, Les Suds, Fiesta des Suds, and the Five Continents Jazz Festival. Since its creation, the Orange Foundation has been committed to this area of culture and promoting vocal music, aiming to help raise the profile of talented artists and to share the emotion of music with as many people as possible.

It also supports the Aix-en-Provence lyrical arts festival through implementing socio-educational initiatives throughout the year for those with limited access to music due to their social situation.

The Orange Foundation is also participating in Innovart from October 10 to November 10. The event will present up-and-coming artists in the field of contemporary creation linked to new technologies.
