Orange RockCorps in France

In France too, “Give, get given”!
The slogan is simple and the objective is clear: giving your time as a volunteer is just as cool as sport, music, fashion, or games, and it should be given a place in the lives of young people. How? By rewarding volunteer work with tickets to exclusive gigs.

Created through the partnership between Orange and RockCorps, this unique concept in France is the meeting of minds from the world of associations and the world of music, with the aim of this original program being to discover and participate in a new form of fun, convivial and festive volunteer work.
Orange shares the vision of RockCorps: together, young people can contribute to making the world a better place. Within this partnership, RockCorps brings its expertise in organizing volunteer events and gigs, while Orange contributes its strength and skills in communication.

Having first started in the United Kingdom, Orange RockCorps has existed in France since 2009. Many well-known artists have come together for Orange RockCorps and performed on stage at the “Zénith de Paris” and the “Dôme de Marseille” for the young volunteers: N*E*R*D, Snoop Dogg, David Guetta, Selah Sue, Nas & Damian Marley, Busta Rhymes, Akon, Sefyu, Razorlight, Kelly Rowland, Lilly Wood and the Prick, Ludacris, Soprano, and the list goes on.
Since 2009, more than 20,000 volunteers have taken part in the Orange RockCorps program, providing a total of 80,000 hours of volunteer work to help almost 150 associations in France.

a new idea for volunteering

The idea is simple: participants give 4 hours of their time to a local association that is a partner of RockCorps, and in return, they obtain the right to attend an exclusive gig.
To be part of the program, you need to be over 16 years of age. Participants can register at www.orangerockcorps.fr or on the program’s Facebook page, and choose from among the various volunteer projects: painting, cleaning, gardening, renovation, etc.
Once the four hours of volunteer work are completed, they receive their ticket for an amazing gig that is just for the volunteers.

5,000 volunteers will come together on July 12 at the “Zénith de Paris” for an amazing gig featuring The Ting Tings, 1995, and Sean Paul, along with many other surprises to come. Tickets for this event are neither on sale nor part of a competition; you must help an association for 4 hours with a project specifically organized by Orange RockCorps.
