France Telecom today announces that Jean-Marc Vignolles has been designated to replace Belarmino García as responsible of the Group's Spanish operations. This appointment will be effective as of July 1st.
Mr Vignolles has extensive experience in the development and management of the Group's international business and an in-depth knowledge of the telecommunication markets. He succeeds Mr Belarmino García who has expressed his wishes to pursue other career opportunities after having successfully completed the integration project that followed the acquisition of Amena and having overseen the roll out of the Orange brand across all the Group's services in Spain.
Belarmino García will remain board member of France Telecom España until the
end of this year.
Luis Alberto Salazar-Simpson, chairman of the board of France Telecom España,
will propose to the board of directors of the company to appoint Jean-Marc
Vignolles as Chief Executive Officer of the company. He will report to Gervais
Pellissier, member of the General Management Committee, in charge of finance and
operations in Spain.
