France Telecom announced today that it has agreed the sale of its Dutch mobile and Internet operations to Deutsche Telekom AG for a total consideration of EUR 1.33 billion on an enterprise value basis. The proceeds will be payable in cash upon closing of the transaction.

This transaction has been approved by the France Telecom Board of Directors after having obtained a positive advice  from the Workers Council of Orange Nederland. Since all necessary authorizations have been obtained, in particular the European Commission's approval, the closing could occur as soon as October 1, 2007.
