Warsaw, September 25, 2008At the request of the TP President, Maciej Witucki, on 25 September the Supervisory
Board of Telekomunikacja Polska appointed Ireneusz Piecuch as the TP Management
Board Member in charge of corporate strategy and business development and Piotr
Muszyński as the TP Management Board Member for operations. Michel Monzani resigned
from the function of the TP Supervisory Board member, while Olivier Faure was
appointed to the Board.
The Supervisory Board of Wirtualna Polska, which had its meeting on the same
day, recalled Jacek Murawski from the function of Management Board President of
this company and appointed Grzegorz Tomasiak to the position.
“I am certain that the reinforcement of the Management Board which I propose
will allow us to achieve the goals marked out in our strategy, will contribute
to the clear division of responsibility and improvement of the cooperation between
the structures and companies of TP Group. We focus on the customer as regards
both product provision and the service quality,” said the President, Maciej Witucki.
Ireneusz Piecuch is 44 years old, he graduated from the University of Warsaw in the Law and Administration
Faculty, and then graduated from judge and legal adviser training in Warsaw. At
the beginning of his professional career he both worked and acted as a partner
in a lawyer’s office. In years 1995-2006 he worked with IBM in Poland and abroad,
where he negotiated complex integration and outsourcing projects, fulfilling the
function of Management Board Member, of the Operating Director of IBM Polska (2002-2004)
and working in the construction of niche sales channels in Central Europe. In
2006 he moved to TP, where he took the position of Legal Branch Director – General
Lawyer of the TP Group, and since May 2007 he has held the position of General
Secretary of the Company.
Piotr Muszyński is 45 years old, he graduated from the University of Wrocław in the Law and Administration
Faculty, from postgraduate studies in Management in the Polish International School
of Management of the Polish Foundation, and the Advanced Management Programme
organized by IESE Business School at the University of Navarra. Piotr Muszyński
started his professional career in 1990 in Eastern Europe Investment Ltd (EEI)
as a partner and project manager responsible for strategy, marketing and business
development. In 1993 he joined the company REMA 1000 Poland Ltd as a Management
Board Member - the Managing Director, and in the years 1999-2001 as the Management
Board President. Simultaneously in the years 1996-1998 he was a Management Board
Member of the company Intersport Poland, where he participated in the creation
and operational launching of the company. Since 2001 in TP, initially as the Customer
Service Branch Director, and since 2005 as the Director of the Division Service
and Sales.
Olivier Faure is 46 years old, is a graduate of the Military Academy in Saint Cyr. In the
first stage of his professional career he served as an officer of the airborne
army. In 1991 he started work with the France Telecom Group. He dealt with the
development of a new line of added services (satellite transmission, sending messages
and conference services) for business customers, holding at this time various
posts in France. Then he was appointed a General Director of the Spanish controlled
company of France Telecom, where he dealt with similar matters in the period immediately
after opening the telecommunication market in Spain. In 2000 he was appointed
Director for Marketing in Jordan Telecom. He managed the creation of image and
development of the offer and organisational structures (customer service, sale,
etc.) of this national telecommunication operator in Jordan. He was also engaged
in significant regulatory issues. Starting from 2003 he has been managing various
organizational units in France, in the Orange business services segment (recently
he fulfilled the function of retail sale director in central France). In September
2008 Olivier Faure was appointed the Vice-President, and among his duties is the
supervision over the activity in Poland.
Grzegorz Tomasiak is 43 years old, he graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics (Szkoła Główna
Planowania i Statystyki) in the Faculty of Foreign Commerce and International
Finances. Since April 2007 in TP Group as the executive director for technology.
Before moving to TP he worked for IBM, where he fulfilled a number of managerial
functions, including finance & planning manager and business
management manager at the European IBM headquarters, general director of IBM
Polska and sales support director for Eastern Europe, Near East, Austria and Switzerland
in the regional office of IBM in Vienna. He has acquired professional experience
at Chrysler Motors Corporation in the United States and at the Polish- American
Enterprise Fund in Warsaw.
