peace of mind when you go on holiday abroad with the new Orange offers

Paris, June 29, 2009

10 minutes of communication in the countries of the European  zone offered to Orange customers
Reduced mobile call rates from Europe

Orange is offering 10 minutes of communication from abroad … with no commitment
All summer long Orange is offering any customers travelling abroad 10 minutes to call or receive calls in countries within the European zone. Once the credit has been used up the customer is alerted by SMS in order to avoid any unexpected overruns.
The offer is available now and with no commitment until 1st September. To take up the offer all you have to do is apply, either before or after departure, by calling 444 (free from France and abroad) or on www.orange.fr/travel.

Orange is reducing its prices for “roaming”
The new European regulations on pricing will come into effect from 1st July 2009. The regulation covers the cost of mobile telephone calls made to or from Europe. A piece of news that should interest those who are planning holidays in Europe.

the new prices
- countries in the European* zone
Calls made will be billed at 51 euro cents per minute, second by second, after the first 30 second block and at 23 euro cents per minute from the second after the first second for calls received.
Sending an SMS will cost 13 euro cents with the cost of receiving remaining free of charge.
- countries outside the European* zone
The rates for calls cost outside the European zone do not change and remain at Euros 1.18 per minute for calls made and 55 euro cents per minute for calls received from the North Africa / USA / Canada / Turkey zone. The rates for the rest of the world are Euros 2.90 per minute for calls made and Euros 1.40 per minute for calls received.
Sending an SMS is at a fixed rate of 28 euro cents outside the European zone.

new offers to meet the needs of the traveller
Whether it’s for a one-off trip or the frequent traveller and however often the mobile is used from abroad, a suitable solution from the Orange Travel range is available to Orange customers.
- for example, an occasional traveller can choose a “€ 6 travel pass” valid for 7 days and including 10 minutes of calls, 10 minutes to receive calls and 10 SMS’s to be sent from countries in the European zone.
- the regular traveller might do well to choose the “Preferred Destination” option for € 5 per month that will enable him to pay only 37 euro cents per minute to call from the country of his choice and from mainland France to the same country and to benefit from more than one hour of calls received in the country.
- the “€ 10 International 20 Mb Pass” is limited to customers with an Internet Everywhere package. Valid for 7 days, the Pass, like the other packages, has a special alert system as soon as the user goes over € 50.

Orange is improving support services for travellers
- changes to the mobicarte and fixed price packages
Mobicarte customers and fixed price package holders can now top up their account from outside France more easily, even if their credit is at zero, by simply calling 224 or 556 (free of charge, including from abroad). What’s more, calls received by a customer travelling abroad are no longer lost, even if he has run out of credit, but are instead automatically redirected to his voice mail.

- dial the same numbers whether you are in France or abroad
As part of our continuous efforts to improve caller comfort, Orange customers can now call normally from their mobiles, dialling numbers as if they were in France. What’s more, Orange is significantly increasing the number of countries where voicemail and customer services are accessible via the same numbers as in France, reaching 95% of destinations. In the rare cases when the usual short dial numbers cannot be used, Orange sends the customer an SMS with the number to use.

greater protection for internet connections abroad
So as to avoid any unpleasant surprises with the telephone bill when returning from holiday Orange sends the customer an SMS informing him of the costs of calls, SMS’s and forwarding data in Europe as soon as he passes the frontier and informs him that he can obtain a pass with no commitment in order to reduce the cost of his connections.
Finally, Orange automatically sends an SMS for every 35 Euros consumed to users who are travelling abroad and the service is free of charge. For Internet Everywhere customers it is every 50 Euros.

Orange Travel is the embodiment of the group’s wish to offer its international “roaming” customers consistency across all the countries where Orange operates and especially within Europe: France, Belgium, Spain, Luxemburg, Moldavia, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom, Slovakia and Switzerland.
