France Telecom shares are listed in Paris (ISIN: FR0000133308) and New York (NYSE:FTE). To become a shareholder in France Telecom, you will need to get in touch with a financial intermediary and send them your buy order.

You will then be able to choose between three type of France Telecom shares:

direct registered shares
France Telecom's direct registered share service, managed by BNP Paribas Securities Services, enables you to benefit from no custodian fees and discounted transaction costs*, as well as a personalised service:
- an online service to consult and manage your registered account, submit and track your stock market orders online (available if you have returned a stock market services contract to the direct registered shares service),
- direct information: the shareholders’ letter and invitations to attend general meetings are sent out to you individually and automatically,
- a call center available for you from 9 am to 6 pm (French time) Monday to Friday  by simply dialing 1010 (toll-free number from a France Telecom landline).

administered registered shares

bearer shares

In this case, the shareholder is not known to France Telecom, except for in the event of a one-off request for an identifiable bearer securities survey, which makes it possible for a listed company to obtain the list of its shareholders from Euroclear.

*According to french tax rules: transaction costs are based on a flat-rate commission (7.62 euros net of tax) and brokerage costs (representing 0.3% net of tax calculated based on the gross amount of the deal).
