Orange Labs Beijing focuses on the R&D areas that are having great potential and strategic value for the Group such as Mobile terminal devices
Terminal platforms, Mobile multimedia services Scalable TV/video distribution platform IPV6.

As part of our strategy to be close to the innovation clusters of the world, Orange has set up Orange Labs in China in 2004 within the Zhong Guan Cun high-tech park, a Chinese Silicon Valley. The mission of Orange Labs Beijing is to contribute to Group’s global development through innovative applications and services and become recognized as one of the best world class R&D center. By establishing R&D centers in China, Orange takes advantage of the dynamic and rapid telecom market growth and the huge talent pool in China.

The Beijing labs is also monitoring Chinese telecom market and technology evolution and provides information and strategic studies to the Group and its subsidiaries for their development activities in the most dynamic and promising telecom market in the world.

To accomplish its mission, Orange Labs Beijing relies on more than 120 talent people composed with 25% of Ph.D, 50% of masters, all with multilingual capability and many of them with international experiences. Furthermore, through the open innovation program, Orange Labs Beijing is developing various partnerships with local universities and industries bringing Chinese innovations to Orange group.
