Orange's activities

In Romania, Orange is the market leader with 10.41 million customers and revenues of 247 million euro in the second quarter of 2010.

In 2004, Orange launched EDGE technology (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution), a first not only in Romania but in all of South-Eastern Europe, not to mention the first such service within the France Telecom Orange Group itself. In 2006, Orange Romania launched 3G services, taking another step in the development of its broadband network the following year, by launching 3G+ and providing its customers with faster mobile data services.
The subsequent launch of HSPA/EDGE technologies proves that Orange stays true to its promises of developing a high-performance network, offering its 2.3 million broadband customers diverse, high-speed services that transform the mobile telephone and the PC into terminals with many applications and services available everywhere at the touch of a button. Orange customers can use broadband services on their mobile phones, on laptops, enjoying full mobility, and on desktop computers, at fixed locations such as at the office or at home.

With almost 1,000 stores, Orange Romania provides customers countrywide with a complete range of products and services based on mobile and fixed solutions.
