
Orange is the leading mobile operator in France, serving more than 26 million customers at the end of March 2010, including almost 14 million on mobile broadband.
The Livebox allows customers to access broadband multi-play services: it is a big success on the French market, with more than 7,4 million units sold or rented at the end of March 2010.
Out of all the Internet service provider portals in France, Orange is leading the way in terms of “audience” figures: orange.fr is one of the most visited websites.
In November 2008, Orange creates Orange cinéma séries, a bouquet of five TV chains.
Following a test phase in 2006, the group has launched the pre-deployment of "Lafibre", presenting its commercial services for certain districts in Paris, suburbs and large towns and cities in France. The fibre (FTTH fibre to the home) technology is being offered with speeds of up to 100 Mbps. Besides, in February 2010, Orange announced its will to invest EUR 2 billion in fiber optic network in France by 2015.
In December 2009, Orange announced that it is aiming for 98% coverage in 3G/3G+ by the end of 2011. As of the end of 2009, Orange offers the best 3G/3G+ mobile coverage in metropolitan France, with more than 87% of the population covered (ARCEP report of December 2009).
The 5 July, 2010, Stéphane Richard, Chief Executive Officer of France Telecom-Orange unveiled his Group-wide industrial project: a five-year action plan, called "conquests 2015". Through "conquests 2015", Orange is simultaneously addressing its employees, customers, shareholders but also, more generally, the society in which the company operates. Its commitment to these stakeholders is expressed through concrete action plans.
Orange Business Services is used as the banner for business communications solutions and services.
