Orange Labs in Poland
Among its 18 Orange Labs on three continents, the group has a R&D centre (TP
R&D) in Poland within Telekomunikacja Polska (TP) in order to carry out telecommunications
research and development to support its important Eastern European market. Research
and development activity is performed by TP R&D on the base of both TP Group and Orange
Labs requirements. Made up of more than 400 researchers, TP R&D is located on
8 sites throughout Poland: Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Katowice, Poznan, Gdansk,
Olsztyn and Lublin.
The Orange Labs' mission in Poland is to accelerate innovation generation and
its implementation in the TP Group, to support the group's efforts worldwide,
and to demonstrate TP corporate social responsibility by reinforcing R&D potential
in Poland in promising domains. TP R&D engineers also take part in European scientific
and research projects, as well as in international and national standardisation
bodies.

The potential of Orange Labs allows the Telekomunikacja Polska Group to move faster and facilitates the detection of technological breakthroughs and new usages. It also enhances close collaboration with local manufacturers and universities and the reuse of alternative technical solutions for the benefit of all the group's customers. TP R&D activities in connection with the Orange Labs network have a positive influence on results of whole group's business.
