In the United Kingdom, Orange is a leading provider of mobile, broadband, fixed, business and entertainment services. It has close to 17 million mobile and broadband customers and is the leading provider for the UK National Health Service and Police.

In June 2006, Orange became the single brand for mobile and broadband. It also launched “Unique” - the UK's first truly integrated and seamless single phone proposition, giving customers free calls to landlines and Orange mobiles.

Orange has the broadest integrated 2G/3G network in the UK covering over 99% of the population. In 2006 it launched the UK’s first live high speed EDGE network to complement its existing 3G network. In 2007, it launched the Orange 3G+ (HSDPA) network offering even faster speeds and better quality to its customers.
Orange was the first UK company to:

    Make a major move into mobile advertising, opening up a new high-potential revenue stream
    Launch over-the-air music downloads in the UK, with over 250,000 music downloads made each month from Orange World
    Introduce a mobile TV service, with over 50 channels now available on Orange Mobile TV

Orange.co.uk is currently in the top 15 most visited commercial websites in the UK.

Orange Business Services provides mobile, fixed and broadband communications services to over 1 million businesses in the UK from the largest multi-national corporations to start-ups across all industry sections including the public sector.
