In France, the Bains Numériques festival represents a truly unmissable event for digital creation and design, held each year in the town of Enghien-les-Bains in the Val d’Oise region near Paris.
Open to the public, free and dedicated entirely to all forms of contemporary expression, from plastic arts to the stage and music, this festival transforms the town of Enghien into an international showcase for digital design, with a strong focus on interactivity with visitors.
The 4th Bains Numériques event offers:
- a program of live shows, audio and visual installations, exhibitions, throughout the entire town
- a gathering of professionals, with an international competition as well as roundtables on digital art.
25,000 people are expected for the 2009 event, which will be kicking off with an exceptional performance by Peter Greenaway on Friday June 5, and will end with a concert on the lake by the electro group Rinôçérôse on Saturday June 13.
Orange innovation serving the digital arts
Orange has been a preferred partner for this event since 2008. In addition to providing technical services (network, wifi access, contact everyone, flashcode), it will be speaking during a roundtable on June 12 looking at "cultural practices in the digital era".
Lastly, Orange will be relaying the event on its web media, with a dedicated innovation page on its WebTV, as well as on the culturemobile.net blog.
