16 August 2010 - The second season of operation “Bouge tes crampons”, organised by Orange, reached a successful conclusion on 7 August 2010.
For one week, 15 youngsters were able to take part in a shared sporting experience thanks to the association “Drop de Béton”, which promotes the values of rugby for successful integration.
Mentored by French international player, Imanol Harinordoquy, of the Biarritz Olympique team, the junior sportsmen from Île-de-France and Aquitaine were introduced to rugby and its values:
solidarity
self-discipline
communication
the group dynamic
respect for others
The training course also featured strongly on the internet: on the “Bouge tes crampons” blog, replete with photos and videos, the youngsters related their daily exploits between beach-rugby matches and an introduction to local sports such as surfing and pelota, the Basque ball game.
Orange, which sponsors many sporting events such as the Course Croisère Edhec (the Edhec student boat race) or the La Parisienne ladies’ road race, supports this public initiative, which also attests to the company’s commitment to equal opportunities.
