In Poland, the Fundacja Orange has already successfully held two e-volunteering competitions. This initiative aims to identify and reward the best practices for volunteering online.
This year, the Fundacja Orange and its main partner in Poland - the Good Network Foundation - are leading the third "discover e-volunteering" initiative at European level: indeed, all the European Union States are celebrating the European Year of Volunteering in 2011.
In this way, from May 25 to July 31, 2011, all non-governmental organizations within the European Union will be able to take part in the competition, presenting projects on which they are cooperating with volunteers thanks to the internet.
The most innovative initiatives will be rewarded, and this event will also pave the way for a charter being drawn up for European best practices for this type of cooperation.
To take up this event in France, the Orange Foundation has decided to call on its partner association France Bénévolat.
