The second
Nadácia Orange Awards have just taken place in Slovakia. These awards recognize the associations which excelled over the previous year in terms of delivering innovative solutions to meet the needs of society today.
Independent assessment committees selected the following organizations for the awards, with each one receiving a €10,000 cheque and a trophy designed by the artist Gordana Turuk:

in the
"education" category, the Daphné - Applied Ecology Institute association, for the "children's gardens" project carried out in two Slovakian towns, looking to develop young children's awareness of nature, fully integrated into a rich and varied educational program;

in the
"regional development" category, the association TATRY for the project "Don't sort by yourself! Sort with us!" aimed at promoting the selective sorting of waste and limiting the development of landfill sites. This project, contributing towards a cleaner and healthier environment, has been spread over two years. It has been carried out working very closely with all the stakeholders from the local authorities concerned;

in the
"social integration" category, the association "Bol raz jeden človek", which is working to facilitate the integration of people with mental disabilities and autism into society, for their project to set up a television channel "Rojko TV" through the production of films based on videos, animations and photographs.
The Nadácia Orange Award is a prestigious award and the only one in Slovakia to come from one of the leading corporate foundations. Its goal is to contribute towards the systematic development of philanthropy and support for development in Slovakia. In this way, the Orange Foundation is publicly and practically expressing its backing and gratitude for the associations which are working with dedication in their fields and proposing innovative solutions to social challenges.
