British Academy Film AwardsThe Orange British Academy Film Awards in 2008 marks the eleventh year of the Orange and BAFTA’s partnership.
Together we aim to celebrate the films and talent that have captured the nation’s imagination. Our unique initiatives, ‘60 Seconds of Fame’ and ‘The Orange Rising Star Award’, give our customers the chance to play their part in the UK’s most prestigious event on the Film calendar.


which star do you think shines the brightest?
The only award voted for by the public, The Orange Rising Star Award identifies and celebrates the young actors and actresses on the cusp of super stardom. A jury of film industry big wigs selects five nominees and the UK film loving public vote on who they think deserves to take home the award.

have we found the next Quentin Tarantino?
Orange and BAFTA have teamed up to create 60 seconds of Fame -  the ultimate short film challenge where 15 lucky winners will attend the Orange British Academy Film Awards on 10 February 2008 and walk the red carpet alongside some of the world’s most talented film-makers. The winning film will be announced at the Film Awards ceremony and broadcast on the BBC1 Awards programme.

The winner has been find out during the BBC1 broadcast on the last 10 February 2008.
