On December 6, 2007, Orange officially launched its commercial activities in
the Central African Republic, with a commitment to setting the standard for quality
of service and network coverage.
Clients are now able to enjoy Orange's services in Bangui, the first city to
be covered by the Orange network, while Carnot and Bouar will be launched over
the next few days. The cities of Bossongoa, Berbérati, Nola and Sibut will follow
as of next month, with a commitment to cover all districts throughout the country
by the end of the first half of 2008.
In this way, Orange is making all of its expertise available to clients in the
Central African Republic thanks to several innovative, simple and attractive commercial
offerings.
The first Orange agency opened its doors in PKO, offering a wide range of mobile
telephony products and services.
For Christmas, Orange will be offering clients in this country Wimax broadband
services. Based on the latest generation wireless technology, Wimax will enable
clients to access various convergent solutions. Wimax is key to delivering an
integrated response to clients' needs in their three communications worlds: at
home, at work and when on the move.
At this time, Bruno Allassonnière, Orange's CEO in the Central African Republic,
declared that: "We want people in the Central African Republic to be able to benefit
from the know-how of an international group like France Telecom, providing them
with an excellent quality of service, extensive telephone coverage throughout
the country, client services that listen to their needs, and innovative solutions,
including access to broadband services. Our objective is to contribute to the
development of telecommunications infrastructures in this country and help open
up the various regions by providing Central Africans with quality services in
their daily lives. Orange Central African Republic, a responsible business, is
also committed with the Orange Foundation to building a primary school in Nyakari,
which will be able to welcome 250 children as of the start of the 2008 school
year".
Today, the Group is delighted to welcome its new clients from the Central African
Republic. With this commercial launch, Orange is firmly and sustainably committed
to enabling all of its clients to benefit from the best services at the best prices.
