Orange Foundation supports the revival of the Rasoun Village in Jordan

Mr.Ghossein hands JRF’s Director General, Valentina Qussisiya a check for 80.000 euros As part of its ongoing policy to support the Jordanian community, Mickael Ghossein, CEO of Jordan Telecom Group presented Valentina Qussisiya, Director General of the Jordan River Foundation with a check of 80.000 euros donated by the Orange Foundation, to improve educational, health and social services for the people of Rasoun village, located within the Ajloun region in Jordan.
Mr. Ghossein stressed the Orange Foundation’s commitment to developing and building Jordanian communities, by providing people with the means to live better lives. He pointed out that education forms an important part of this project, which includes the renovation of village schools, and the creation of a children's nursery  for working women's children. Also planned: equipment for the village's Health Center, renovation of the playground, and a new youth center. In addition, the project includes the creation of a revolving fund to enable residents to create their own small and micro businesses providing a wider range of job opportunities, particularly for women. A new bakery will be built, and a public transportation bus installed for residents who need to travel from /to Ajloun and Irbid.
Ms. Qussisiya underlined the significant contribution of both the Orange Foundation and Orange Jordan, and the important role they play in supporting the community sector, especially the implementation of integrated projects that will improve the quality of life for Rasoun residents.
''We hope that other private sector entities can offer Jordanian villages what Orange has offered Rasoun." she added.
