Let’s Go For A Ride wins the first Orange reporter competition

December 7, 2009 - Launched on September 15 this year, the “Orange reporter” competition is focused on students who are passionate about audiovisual, rewarding the team from Centrale Paris for their report Let’s Go For A Ride.
With more than 125 students producing more than 40 sports reports, this first edition of the Orange reporter competition has been a resounding success.

Yves, Arthur and Christian from Centrale Paris: the first winning team for the Orange reporter competition
In line with its involvement in sport for many years now, and its position as a key audiovisual player today, Orange wanted to offer students the opportunity to take part in a competition for audiovisual sports reports.
At the Orange reporter competition final, which took place at Roland-Garros on December 1, the jury, whose members included Patrick Chêne, Céline Géraud and Fabien Galthié, awarded first prize to the team from Centrale Paris for Let’s Go For A Ride. In this report, Yves, Arthur and Christian present wakeboarding through the eyes of two champions: Boris Diomar, 2009 world wakeboard vice champion and Emmanuel Guillon, 2009 European freestyle disabled wakeboard vice champion, discovering Emmanuel's personality and the independence that wakeboarding gives him. The sensations of sliding and the adrenaline allow him to forget about his wheelchair and simply enjoy the pleasure of sport.

The lucky students from Centrale Paris will soon be jetting off to Chicago with the Orange sport teams to interview Joakim Noah, French basketball’s rising star in the NBA. In addition, on December 7, Orange will be showing the Let’s Go For A Ride report on the orange.fr site, which has five million unique visitors each day, and on its dedicated sports news channel Orange sport info, available to the 2.5 million customers of Orange TV.

seven teams selected for the first Orange reporter final
Following the Orange reporter competition’s launch in September 15, 2009, many teams of students signed up and agreed to take on the challenge of producing videos illustrating the capacity of sports to “do more together”.
In light of this first success, Orange is inviting students to take part in the second Orange reporter competition in 2010.
