The last 6 December 2007 in Bucharest, the "see Orange" competition has reached
its final stage. This year's edition was themed "play", which is a key word in
Orange's image campaign. The prizes awarded amount to over 20,000 EUR. Over 4,600
amateur and professional photographers have entered the competition. The ever-increasing
number of contestants proves that "see Orange" has become a key event for photography
lovers.
The jury, made up of representatives from Orange, Tempo Advertising, Skepsis
and Cristian Crisbasan - independent photographer, has awarded 3 prizes for each
category and 50 special prizes for all categories. The first prize winners of
the "see Orange" competition's sixth edition are Florin Simion from Bucharest
for the category black and white photography, Lorant Fulop from Lutita, Harghita
county for the category colour photography and Otilia Letitia Rosu from Onesti
for the category Multimedia Messages.
"Although I've taken part in the "see Orange" competition in 2005, this prize
is my first as a photographer. I'd been looking forward to such an event to motivate
me even more in my artistic endeavours", said Florin Simion, photographer, winner
of the black and white photography first prize.
"This competition's theme is a special, original one. Participants are required
to have a little more creativity than in other photography competitions with standard
themes such as landscapes or portraits. This is also the reason why I've taken
part in the "see Orange" competition, this year as in previous years. In addition,
the prizes offered by Orange are substantial", said Alexandru Axon, photographer
and winner of a special prize.
The best photographs can be seen in an exhibition opened at the Orange concept
store for a month and they'll be published in the "see Orange 2008" calendar.
