Didier Lombard
Chairman and CEO
Appointed as the France Telecom Group’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
on February 27, 2005, he is also a director at Thomson and Thales and a member
of the supervisory board at Radiall and ST Microelectronics.
Didier Lombard joined the Group in 2003 as Executive Senior Vice President, in
charge of Technologies, Strategic Partnerships and New Usages for France Telecom.
Between 1988 and 2003, he worked with the French ministry for research and technology
and the ministry for the economy, finance and industry, and was then founding
chairman of the French agency for international investment.
He began his career in 1967 at France Telecom’s CNET (currently Research and
Development Division), where he worked on developing new products for France Telecom
on satellites, electronic components and wireless systems.
Didier Lombard is a graduate from École Polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure
des Télécommunications, was born in 1942 and is married with three sons.
Olaf Swantee
Executive Senior Vice-President Personal Communication Services, UK and Europe
/ Middle East
Olaf Swantee is a member of France Telecom's Group Management Committee, in charge
of the company's mobile businesses worldwide and the operational and financial
performance of France Telecom Group businesses in the United Kingdom and the Europe
& Middle East (EME) region.
Previously Senior Vice President at Hewlett-Packard, responsible for enterprise
sales and software in EMEA, Olaf was part of the team that steered HP through
consolidation to become the leading global IT company.
Olaf has 17 years experience in the IT industry, holding senior leadership, sales
and marketing positions with Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation in Europe
and the United States. He has worked at the country, European and global levels
and has considerable experience of driving international business leadership in
mature markets.
Born in 1966, Olaf is a Dutch national. He holds a BA in Economics and received
his European MBA from EAP (Ecole Européenne des Affaires) in Paris in 1989.
Barbara Dalibard
Executive Senior Vice-President, Enterprise Communication Services
Barbara Dalibard is a member of the Group Management Committee, in charge of
Enterprise Communication Services. Before being appointed to head up the Enterprise
Communication Services Division in April 2004, she had been in charge of the Corporate
Solutions Division since January 2003. She has also been Chairman and CEO of Equant
since August 2005, after serving as Director of Business Markets for Orange France
and Vice-President of Orange Business in 2001.
In 1998, Barbara Dalibard joined Alcanet International S.A.S., a subsidiary of
the Alcatel Group, as Chairman, before becoming the Commercial Director for New
Operators and then Sales Director for France at Alcatel CIT.
She began her career in 1982 within the France Telecom Group.
Barbara Dalibard is a graduate from École Normale Supérieure, has a masters in
mathematics and a degree from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications,
and was born in 1958.
Gervais Pellissier
Executive Senior Vice President, Group Finance and Spain
Gervais Pellissier is a member of the Group Management Committee, in charge of
Finance, and joined the Group in October 2005 to oversee the integration of its
business units in Spain and advise on regional integration within the Group.
He was previously Deputy Director and General Manager of the Bull Group, where
he held various positions between 1983 and 2005, including Chief Financial and
Operations Officer from 1998 to 2000 and Deputy CEO from 2000 to 2004.
Gervais Pellissier is a graduate in business law from Université Paris XI and
international management from HEC (joint program with Berkeley and Cologne Universities),
and was born in 1959.
Jean-Philippe Vanot
Executive Senior Vice-President, Group Networks and Information Systems
Member of the Group Management Committee, in charge of Networks and Information
Systems, Jean-Philippe Vanot has been the Executive Senior Vice-President of the
Networks, Carriers and Information System division since March 2004. He has spent
his entire career with the Group, starting off in 1997 within the National Network
Division, and has a diverse and predominantly technical and operational background.
He is a graduate from École Polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure des
Télécommunications, and was born in 1952.
Georges Penalver
Executive Senior Vice-President, Group Strategic Marketing and Orange Labs
Georges Penalver is a member of the Group Management Committee, in charge of
Group Strategic Marketing and Orange Labs.
Before joining France Telecom in 2005, he was deputy Chief Executive Officer
at SAGEM Communication (SAFRAN Group), where he developed SAGEM’s broadband communications
business from 2002 to 2005, overseeing the launch of new fixed and mobile product
offerings as well as the company's industrial deployment in Tunisia, Asia and
Eastern Europe and the development of sales networks in Europe, China, South-East
Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and America.
Appointed to serve on SAGEM’s Management Board in 2001, he notably accompanied
the mass development of mobile and internet services.
Georges Penalver is a graduate from École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers
in Aix en Provence (gold medal, 1974) and École Nationale Supérieure de Télécommunications
in Paris (1980) and was born in 1956.
Louis-Pierre Wenes
Executive Senior Vice-President, Group Transformation, Home Communication Services
and France
Louis-Pierre Wenes is a member of the Group Management Committee, in charge of
Group Transformation, Home Communication Services and France, and joined the France
Telecom Group in January 2003 as Senior Vice President of Sourcing and Performance
Improvement.
After being appointed Vice President at A.T. Kearney and heading up its Paris
office since 1996, he joined Coopers & Lybrand in 1989 as a partner responsible
for the industrial and logistics sector, after several years spent in industry.
He began his career in 1972 at Matra Automobile.
Louis-Pierre Wenes is a graduate from École Centrale de Paris, and was born in
1949.
Jean-Yves Larrouturou
Executive Senior Vice-President, Group General Secretary, Africa Middle-East
and Asia and International Development
A member of the Group Management Committee and Group General Secretary, Africa
Middle-East and Asia and International Development, Jean-Yves Larrouturou joined
the France Telecom Group in May 2003 after 15 years spent at the French ministry
of economy, finance and industry, where he was appointed Communications Director
in 2001.
He began his career at the Club de Paris in 1988.
Jean-Yves Larrouturou is a graduate from École Centrale de Paris, Institut d'Études
Politiques de Paris, École Nationale d'Administration and the Tokyo Institute
for Fiscal and Monetary Policy, and was born in 1961.
Olivier Barberot
Executive Senior Vice President, Group Human Resources and Poland
Olivier Barberot is a member of the Group Management Committee, in charge of
Human Resources and Poland, and joined the Group in March 2003 as Executive Senior
Vice President of Development and Optimization of Human Competencies. Since March
2004, he has been in charge of Management Networks and Internal Communications.
From 1985 to 2003, Olivier Barberot served as General Secretary for the Futuroscope
in Poitier, General Secretary for CGI, General Secretary for Université Léonard
de Vinci, then Executive Committee member and Senior Vice President Human Resources
for the Thomson Group (formerly Thomson Multimédia).
Olivier Barberot is a graduate from École des Mines de Paris, and was born in
1954.
