ACB: Orange partnership with the Spanish basketball

The start of the 2008/2009 basketball season in Spain on the 4th October, also launches the second year of the Orange involvement in Spanish basketball.

Orange is currently the title sponsor of the Spanish basketball championship ACB and gives the opportunity to all the basketball fans to access exclusive content and innovative services:

- On mobile: Orange customers can enjoy a live game per week and content such as videos, matches summaries, top 5 ... etc available directly from their mobile phones. A service of SMS and MMS alert on all the teams in competition was also set up to don’t miss the latest news of its favourites teams.

- On ADSL television: Orange TV customers have access to games of the week and games of the Copa del Rey but also can watch summaries of each day, full coverage of play-offs, statistics and exclusives information.

- on Internet (http://acb.orange.es/) : Internet completes the huge information service available to basketball fans. Thanks to orange.es portal, users have complete summaries of all matches and most of the images and highlights information of the day.

Besides access to exclusive content, Basketball fans had the opportunity to enter history and the Guinness Book of Records with the biggest basketball tournament ever held in 3vs3 before. The tournament was held on May 24 and 25 on the Paseo de Camoens in Madrid with more than 5036 players on 100 basketball grounds during more than 10 hours of competition and under 38 degrees.

In addition to the 3vs3 tournament, participants enjoy entertainment with games of skill, a relaxation area, the live Crazy Dunkers show and the live concert of the Falling Kids.
