System@tic Centre, Ile-de-France

objectives and scope of centre

The Ile-de-France System@tic centre is a worldwide centre created for the mastery of software and complex systems, which means their design and development. Work also concerns software distribution technologies and electronic and optoelectronic materials technologies. The scope of these complex systems and software includes:  security, telecommunications, simulation and automotives.

France Telecom's involvement in System@tic

France Telecom is heavily involved in this competitiveness centre as a member of the Core group and co-leader of the telecoms sector with Alcatel.

France Telecom is particularly involved in R&D of IP layer systems, multimedia IP services and service platforms and radio modelling.

France Telecom's participation in this centre will allow it to enhance its mastery of software, fixed-mobile continuity, very high-speed broadband, development of radio and software radio. It also carries out upstream work with large companies in their core businesses.

The centre's other main industrial partners are: Thalès (leader), Alcatel, CEA, EADS, CNES, Renault, Motorola, Sagem, Bull,  Renault, Dassault Aviation, as well as several SMEs.

Academic partners include: INRIA,  Supélec, l'Ecole Polytechnique, l'ENS, Centrale Paris, Paris 7, CNRS, etc.
