The second Orange Massilia Freestyle Cup will be taking place from June 24 to 28 on Prado Beach in Marseille

Paris, June 24, 2009
Following the success of the first event in 2008, which was attended by 31,000 spectators, the Orange Massilia Freestyle Cup will once again this year be presenting a wide range of extreme sports and boardsports in Marseille, combining high-level sports competitions with free introductions and initiatives to raise awareness on respect for the environment.

The top sportsmen and women will be competing during this year's five-day event, with windsurfing, kitesurfing, skating, BMXing, freestyle motocross and skydiving. Thanks to a 2,500 sq.m introduction area, beginners will be able to discover and learn about these disciplines. Lastly, various concerts will be organized each evening, offering both the general public and the sportsmen and women a perfect opportunity to relax.

In line with its commitment to boardsports, Orange, which is partnering this major international event, will be making its technological "know-how" available to cover all telecoms requirements thanks to its ADSL, SDSL, WiFi and mobile solutions set up around the entire village.

Orange will also be setting up a free access WiFi internet area for the general public, with a wide range of activities and events:

A competition on boardsports: with "24 images/second", the most creative will be able to submit their photos and videos directly on the Orange stand and see their work displayed on the large plasma screen. Each day, a panel of judges made up of four sportsmen and women will select the day's best photo and video. The lucky winners will receive a camera for the photo competition and a digital camcorder for the video competition.

The possibility to estimate the value of your mobile with Orange's Second Mobile Life program: thanks to the www.agir-reflexesverts.orange.fr site, which can be accessed on the stand, visitors will be able to estimate the value of their handset, recycle their working mobile and receive a gift voucher worth 30 to 70 euros to be used in France Telecom agencies and Orange stores in France.

A Sony Ericsson F305 mobile designed by Quiksilver: 15 to 18 year olds will be able to discover the Sony Ericsson F305 mobile, designed by Quiksilver and inspired by the boardshorts of the leading French surfer Jérémy Florès. With a range of exclusive Orange and Quiksilver benefits to be discovered with the Zap packages.

Lastly, with Orange TV, boardsports fans will be able to follow the Massilia events as they unfold on all screens; TV, PC and mobile.

Free competition with no purchase required organized by Orange in France and running from June 24 to 28, 2009, entitled "24 images/seconde OMFC". Two prizes to win each day: for the best digital photo, a camera with an estimated unit value of 300 euros (including VAT), and for the best video, a digital camcorder with a unit value of 400 euros (including VAT).
