As New Year’s Eve festivities loom, MMA Zérotracas.mobi in partnership with Orange is launching a mobile-based campaign. The objective: to make more than 2 million mobile users aware of the dangers of alcohol while driving.

A people’s partnership for the new year’s festivities
The insurer MMA, along with the operator Orange, are organising a safety campaign for the New Year’s Eve festivities. Messages will be published on the Orange World mobile portal and also sent by SMS to mobile customers (120,000 texts sent the evenings of 24th and 31st December). The aim is to encourage people to nominate a Designated Driver for the evening and to check their alcohol level before they get behind the wheel.

Alert before the evening
MMA Zérotracas.mobi and Orange are alerting mobile customers before the evening gets underway to nominate their Designated Driver for the evening. To do this, MMA Zérotracas.mobi is offering a free and fun service that lets friends choose their driver. Just enter the phone numbers of each candidate. Each person will then receive an SMS. The Designated Driver for the evening receives: “Tonight you are the Designated Driver. And remember: The driver doesn’t drink." The others receive: “Tonight you are not the Designated Driver...”

A mobile = a breathalyser
With MMA Zérotracas.mobi, your mobile turns into a breathalyser! Just enter your physical details and how much you’ve had to drink to find out if you can get behind the wheel or not. This service is free and accessible to everybody (regardless who your operator is).
