Orange is the official, exclusive telecoms and new media partner of the 63rd edition of the Cannes International Film Festival. Initiated more than 10 years ago, this privileged partnership with one of the biggest events of the 7th art illustrates Orange's continuing commitment to all things film.
In France, Orange is honouring the Festival on every screen, via its web portals, Orange mobiles, its video on demand service, Orange TV and Orange cinema series, its film and series package.

“TV Festival” on every screen
For the second year running, Orange is co-producing and broadcasting “TV Festival”, the official channel of the Cannes International Film Festival. Broadcast on channel 50, it explores all the magic of Cannes with the red carpet, interviews with stars, back stage, press conferences and movie selections.

To allow viewers to follow the best moments of the fortnight free of charge and at their own pace, Cannes Festival TV is enriching its offer this year with an interactive service, accessible by pushing the OK button on your remote control. This service lets you:

replay the day's highlights, which are available and on demand until the end of the Festival;
explore two daily Orange cinema series broadcasts featuring in-depth coverage of all Cannes movie news:  "Ciné Confidential" and "What’s new?", presented by Sophie Soulignac and Marc Iskenderian, respectively;
view the Trailers for Orange’s special Cannes programming film series;
watch a daily selection of films in video on demand, featuring the actor or director present at Cannes on that day;
watch over 20 films from the 2009 Festival (official competition, parallel sections, awards, etc.) available in video on demand.

Orange cinema series
The Orange cinema series package offers special programming throughout the Festival with films in exclusive release, a special evening with Jury President Tim Burton, original film portraits of Thierry Frémaux and Oliver Stone, documentaries on the history of the Festival, and an evening dedicated to film shorts.

In keeping with the Festival’s programming for international movie lovers, Orange cinema series showcases all types of cinema particularly with a series on Argentine films (including the original broadcast of the film Che in two parts directed by Steven Soderbergh), an evening with Abbas Kiarostami (whose film Copie Conforme is up for an award), a series on Dogme and the upcoming broadcast of the film Chantrapas by Otar Iosseliani, pre-bought by Orange cinema series and presented out of competition.

A Festival of innovations
My Festival 2010
On the strength of the success of the “My Festival” viral marketing in 2009 (over 10 million videos viewed), Orange is launching a new campaign for the 2010 edition.
Beginning May 10, web users can become the heroes of personalisable video at www.monfestival.fr, transforming themselves into  star directors as they produce mini-films of their friends and relatives. They can then share their video with their friends by email, blog or the networking site Facebook.

Making a splash on iPhone
Orange has developed an iPhone application that offers a selection of articles and videos on the latest competition news as well as essential information on the films presented at Cannes. This application is downloadable free throughout the entire Festival.

Orange at Cannes
Carrying on the partnership it began with the Cannes Film Festival some years back, Orange will equip the event with telecommunications and offer all accredited journalists the Wifi Café services. And, true to its traditions, “la Plage Orange” will feature Costes restaurant, which will host professionals of the cinema and film teams for meetings, press junkets and breaks.
