Orange and the M6 Group kick off an experiment honouring the launch of a new version of the "RendezVousTV" application

On the occasion of the release of the new version of the "RendezVousTV" application, Orange and the M6 Group have conceived an experiment tied to M6's  show "La France a un incroyable talent" (France’s Got Talent ), offering an enriched set of content and a new form of interaction during the broadcast.

The latest version of “RendezVousTV” application will be accompanied by a test conducted in partnership with the M6 Group, during the prime time show "La France a un incroyable talent" (France’s Got Talent ) which will be broadcast live on M6 on the 30th of November, the 7th  and the 14th of December.
The experiment aims to create an interaction between the live show and the active users of "RendezVousTV," prompting  users with notifications so they can :
•    access additional show-related content.
•    take part in games and quizzes.
•    use the application to vote directly for their favourite “talents”.

In the scope of the experimentation, M6 Publicité also works with Procter & Gamble France and Starcom, offering to Ambi Pur, Clearblue, Duracell, Head & Shoulders, Pringles and Vicks, an innovative advertising format for smartphone, which is synchronized with the TV ad spot on the M6 Group's channels (M6 and W9).

The partnership has made a reality our ambition of enriching and animating the spaces dedicated to M6 live programs," says Xavier Perret, VP for Strategic Partnerships at Orange's Audience and Advertising  for New Growth Activities Division.

"Working with Orange, our historic partner, to develop the future of TV through the interaction between TV, smartphones and tablets was a natural move for us," explains Christian Bombrun, Assistant General Manager of M6 Web.

A new and enriched version is already available and accessible to all.
Orange Labs has enriched the new version of "RendezVousTV" with innovative content and features, such as:

- Share comments on Twitter and by text message in just a few clicks – in addition to the previously available Facebook and e-mail sharing features.
- Configure reminders to be alerted when a TV show is about to start.
- Receive notifications when new content is released (games, polls, etc.),
- Watch TV program guide of 12 new channels (a total of 37 are currently available);
- Enjoy an even more fluid and ergonomic design;
- Access a selection of videos on demand available on Orange TV.

"RendezVousTV," available for iPhone and iPod Touch, sets the user right at the centre of an interactive universe teeming with personalized content and web services related to the TVprogram being watched.

The content and web services include episode summaries, series’ cast lists and information on show anchors. Users can also access videos, a dedicated shopping space (shopbots, show-related merchandise), or take part in games and contests. Last but not least, the application provides a way to interact and share TV-watching with other users, particularly on social networks.
A version for iPad should be released early next year.


A special interaction for Orange customers
"RendezVousTV" connects to the household's WiFi, automatically recognizing  the program watched by Orange TV customers and can be used to control the digibox and change channels or play a video on demand.
Orange mobile customers can also switch from the "RendezVousTV" app automatically to the Orange TV mobile application to watch any other program live on their smartphone.

Through this partnership with M6 Group, Orange confirmes its content and services strategy and thus strengthens its role as a content aggregator.
