We believe that the company's responsibility approach also involves the relations with our suppliers. In this sense, we must pay constant attention to the practices of our suppliers and subcontractors, and take into account the ethical, social and environmental criteria in our procurement process.
evaluate and monitor the performance of our suppliers
Beyond the traditional criteria of quality, delays and expenses, we integrate other elements in the supplier evaluation phase, including compliance with laws and applicable regulations, and even their consumption of energy, natural resources and the control of environmental and societal risks, in line with our charter of ethics and the Group’s commitment toward international institutions, such as the UN’s Global Compact, which France Telecom joined in 2000.
In use since 2004 on contracts with major suppliers, the QREDIC® tool allows the overall performance of the suppliers to be measured through CSR criteria from which progress plans can be defined.
promoting our awareness
In order to be reliable, our responsible purchasing policy is based on raising the awareness of the buyers and ordering parties. Exchanges took place with the Group and France buyers and lawyers within a "purchasing and sustainable development" training module, concerning European directives such as the DEEE.
