‘Schools without violence’, the all-Poland social programme carried out by the
TP Group Foundation and regional dailies was found the best educational campaign
in the ‘Złote Spinacze 2007’ (‘Golden Clip 2007’) prestigious public relations
business competition. This is the second prize of this kind for the TP Group social
programme. ‘Phone Mum’ won the Golden Clip award three years ago.
‘The Schools without violence’ programme was established as a response to the
growing level of aggression in Polish schools. It is aimed at increasing the awareness
of the violence problem in schools, showing pupils, teachers and parents that
they do not have to agree to it. Organisers provide schools with guides, specialist
help and support, due to which the schools can prevent violence on their own.
The actress Gabriela Kownacka is the ambassador of the programme.
Four thousand six hundred and sixty schools have already joined the programme
that is 15% of all schools in Poland. This year the TP Group Foundation will donate
400,000 PLN to the grant programme directed to teachers, pupils and their parents.
It is expected to help develop and integrate school communities and activate all
their members to joint actions.
The ‘Golden Clip’ competition is one of the most important events in the PR business
in Poland. It is organised by the Polish Public Relations Consultancies Association.
Its aim is to increase the standards and expand professionalism of the PR trade
by means of promoting the best projects carried out in Poland. Seventy-three projects
were entered for this year edition.
