Lucie Muniesa was born in 1975 and attended the Paris Graduate School of Economics, Statistics and Finance (ENSAE). She began her career at the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) before being appointed Deputy Chief of the merger control/State aid office at the French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control in 2002.
She joined the APE (Agence des participations de l'État) in 2004 as Assistant to the Heads of the “Energy, Chemistry and other holdings” and “La Poste – France Telecom” area offices, before being appointed APE General Secretary in 2007.
In 2010, Lucie joined Radio France, initially as Financial Director and later Deputy Director General in charge of finance, purchasing, legal and development of own resources. In 2014, she became Director andDeputy General Secretary of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
On 6 February 2016, Lucie was appointed Deputy Director General of the APE. She works alongside Martin Vial, who has held the post of Commissioner of State Holdings since 24 August 2015.
