Executive VP Communications and Brand
Béatrice Mandine began her studies in science: a field she thought was made for her – one that would enable her to pursue a career in veterinary science that she’d dreamed of as a little girl. But somewhere between childhood fantasies and adult life there is often more than one step. Béatrice quickly realised that she was heading for another reality. She quickly switched from maths and physics to journalism to satisfy her natural curiosity and flair for writing.
She began her career in 1988 writing for Le Figaro newspaper and Le Cinq television channel before rapidly entering the world of business via the internal communication team at Alcatel where she moved to the Press Office and then managed communications for a line of internet products. In 2002, she tried her hand at freelance work at a PR agency.
She quickly realised that she missed the international and collective adventure of a large organisation. So she did an about turn into the automotive world and joined Faurecia as head of press relations and corporate image. In 2007, she joined Orange (then France Telecom) as Director of the Group’s Press Office. Back in the world of telecommunications, she went from managing a small team to a division of 18 people. Her responsibilities expanded further in May 2013 when she was appointed to the Executive Committee in charge of Communication and Brand.
Effective 2 May 2018, her mission will be to propose a unified Group communications structure for the Group’s internal communication and support functions.
