Senior Executive Vice-President of CSR, Diversity, Partnerships and Philanthropy, Deputy Chair of the Orange Foundation
Christine Albanel has a degree in modern literature, starting her working life as a teacher which increased her interest in culture. She was French President Jacques Chirac’s Speechwriter for several years along with Advisor for Culture and Education and member of the French Council of State. In July 2003, she was appointed Chair of the Etablissement public de Versailles before becoming Minister of Culture and Communication from 2007 to 2009.
When she left government, she turned down an offer from Villa Medicis, preferring the cultural content within Orange, which she joined in 2010. Christine has exceptional public affairs experience, particularly in the field of culture, and a strong understanding of social issues. She has also written three plays that have been performed in Paris and a novel published by Flammarion.
