Music gets straight to people’s hearts, which is why it is another area Orange is passionate about.
Across the Orange Group, Orange countries play a key role in developing high quality music and entertainment services that are widely and immediately accessible both as a live experience or across TV, internet and mobile.
Some of the music festivals we sponsor in Europe
It all started in 2000 with the legendary Glastonbury Festival and phone-charging wellies. Since then, Orange has been at the side of popular summer festivals in Europe, helping millions of fans enjoy their passion by creating a genuine emotional connection with customers.
Summer Well launched in Romania in 2011, a popular festival-style holiday in a magical location that in 2018 attracted as many as 45,000 fans. Orange offers early access to tickets (along with ‘I’m with the band’ VIP packages) as well as free data bundles, dedicated offers (including Orange TV Go Cinema) and free Wi-Fi access at the festival based on geo-location. What’s more, Orange supports a recycling programme collecting old phones in return for a festival kit.
Orange also offers festival-goers the chance to give back to their community by joining in the fun “Cycle for Digitaliada” CSR programme, with static exercise bikes set up on site. Orange donates money for each km cycled towards digital educational content and tablets, with prizes such as fitness trackers going to the top cyclers.
Orange Warsaw Festival
Orange Warsaw Festival has been running for 12 years in Poland and draws crowds in the region of 60,000 over its two days. In addition to a 15% ticket discount and 10GB data bundles on festival days, Orange also offers customers free Wi-Fi access points and dedicated marketing offers for music accessories, including headsets and speakers. Recycling features at this festival too, along with a host of special facilities (including adapted venues, induction loops, interpreters and audio description) for music fans with disabilities.
Orange Pohoda in Slovakia draws an all-star line-up of international artists and 30,000 festival goers. In 2018, fans shared their memories and emotions thanks to a free 1GB of extra data. More than 8,000GB of data was used during the festival (4G and Wi-Fi). Orange also offered 24h phone charging and a free Pohoda app. A recycling programme collected old phones with an Orange donation for each old mobile going to local NGOs.
Music in MEA
Orange has a strong tradition in MEA for bringing high quality live music and entertainment to fans. Priority is given to sponsorship activities that help develop an emotional connection with young fans on subjects that are relevant and important to them.
Local artists are also given a platform for sharing their music and talent through activations such as Orange T@lents in Morocco and Orange Couleurs in Central African Republic.
