We offer responsible products and services

When it comes to marketing our products and services, we make sure we listen to our customers’ concerns and help them become more socially conscious and eco-friendly.

Our products and services take into consideration, right from the early design stages, our customers’ essential needs protecting personal data through to transparent offers, inclusivity and integrating the principles of a circular economy. We also produce communication campaigns to encourage more responsible consumption. And because people’s uses continue to evolve, we also support our customers by helping them use digital products and services more responsibly.

We encourage ecodesign, with examples including our latest Livebox and TV set-top box: Ecodesign: a solution to protect the environment. We are also fully committed to collecting used equipment including more than 10 million mobile phones recycled in Europe in the last decade.

In parallel, several countries are now collecting and repurposing Livebox routers: in France (2.9 million units, ie 80% of all units sold in 2018) and to a lesser extent in Spain, Poland and Belgium. Orange inaugurated an internal mobile phone reconditioning centre in Senegal in April 2018.

Since 2010, we have been fully committed to keeping our customers’ personal data secure through a formal charter around the Protection of personal data.

Another way we promote inclusion is through accessible offers such as the Coup de Pouce Livebox, which targets vulnerable or disadvantaged people in France, as well as the Gigas Solodarios initiative in Spain: this gives Orange customers the opportunity to donate any unused data to families in need.

Accessibility offers dedicated to people with disabilities are also available throughout Europe and our points of sale are also adapted, for example our 272 adapted stores in France with Autonomy spaces.

To support consumers in their purchasing decisions, we also provide a lot of information about the impact of technology:
