All the Group’s research and innovation teams aim to be open towards the whole of their outside ecosystem: partners, customers or students, etc. in order to meet, share, and work together. The aim is to be as close as possible to the customer’s needs and contribute to the dynamism of local ecosystems.
Co-construction with customers: Neo-Retro
On June 22, 2015, for the first time we launched a participative campaign on the Ulule crowdfunding platform, in order to test the public’s interest in a new fixed telephone: the NeoRetro. This timeless telephone, the design of which is inspired by the 1930s, benefits from all Orange’s latest technologies. In July 2015, we closed this campaign successfully with 747 participants after a month. All the subscribers received the original edition of the NeoRetro in March 2016. And since May 19, 2016, this telephone has been on sale in our Orange shops and at www.orange.fr. A key date and the final stage in this innovative campaign!
Imagine with Orange: a platform for sharing ideas for innovations and a springboard for co-construction with entrepreneurs
With imagine.orange.com, web users can share their ideas for innovations and digital services on topics related to society and daily life: connected objects, connected family, smart city, mobile money, smart car, women’s digital, digital for the climate, connected sport, etc. Thematic campaigns are organized all the time.
How does it work? Web users, irrespective of whether or not they are Orange customers, give their ideas about subjects proposed by Orange. They have access to the contributions of the community, on which they can comment or to which they can add. They can also vote for the best ideas, whose contributors are invited to Paris for coaching in innovation. As a result, web users from Poland, Romania, the United Kingdom, India, France, and Israel have been invited to Orange Innovation in Paris and given support for their ideas.
Imagine welcomes over 13,000 contributors from 80 countries, who have shared more than 3,000 ideas. You too can share your ideas. Orange will help you to bring them to life!
The Orange Lab – a community of 40,000 volunteer testers
We run a community of 40,000 Lab Explorers, who represent 40,000 volunteer testers, whom we regularly ask to test concepts, answer surveys, try out new products, etc.
