Michel Reveyrand-de Menthon is appointed Advisor to the Chairman & CEO, in charge of International Relations

 

Michel Reveyrand-de Menthon was appointed Advisor to the Chairman & CEO of Orange, in charge of International Relations, as of November 2, 2015.

Graduated from the Ecole Nationale d'Administration and an agrégé of Economics and Social Sciences, Michel Reveyrand-de Menthon also holds a Diploma from the Institute of Political Studies in Paris, a Master of Philosophy from the Paris-I university, a DEA in applied economics from the Paris-Dauphine university and a Master of Political Studies from IEP-Paris.
Michel Reveyrand-de Menthon began his career in teaching and research in economics and social sciences. In 1987, he joined the Ministry of Cooperation, before becoming technical adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991. He was a civil administrator in the Treasury Department from 1992 to 1994, when he joined the Dexia group. In 1998, he was appointed Head of Geographic Coordination at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He took the position of Financial Councilor for Africa in the Treasury Department in 2000 for Central and East Africa, and then for West and Southern Africa, and the Indian Ocean. In 2006 he was appointed Ambassador to Mali, before becoming Ambassador to Chad in 2011. Since 2013, he was Special Representative of the European Union for the Sahel.
