Orange present at Viva Technology Paris 2017

Orange is proud to once again be a partner of Viva Technology Paris. The event takes place in Hall 1 of the Parc des Expositions, Paris Porte de Versailles, from June 15th to 17th. This second international meeting devoted to innovation and the growth of start-ups will bring together all of the world’s digital transformation players, including thousands of start-ups and dozens of international groups.

Meeting Orange’s management and innovators

Among the speeches to be given during Viva Technology, Orange will take the floor on a number of subjects:

  • Stéphane Richard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Orange, will be a keynote speaker on Thursday June 15th from 10:00 to 10:25 am on “The New AI Economy”.
  • Mari-Noëlle Jégo-Laveissière, Senior Executive Vice President, Innovation, Marketing and Technologies, will participate in the “5G and Competitive Edge” session on Friday June 16th from 9:30 to 10:00 am. 
  • Pierre Louette, Deputy CEO, will introduce the “VC Summit” session on the theme « Make startups financing great again !” from 2:00 to 2:15 pm, also on Friday.
  • Ludovic Centonze, CSR Manager, will participate in the “Bridging the Digital Divide” panel discussion from 10:30 to 11:00 am on June 16th.

The Orange Lab

This year, the theme of the Orange Lab is “Ambient Connectivity”.

On Thursday June 15th, the Orange Digital Ventures team, the Orange Group’s capital venture fund, will be present all day long to meet entrepreneurs, accompanied by the seven start-ups in which it has invested.  
Orange Fab, Orange’s international network of start-up accelerators, is holding its Demo Day International on Friday June 16th with the participation of 41 start-ups from all over the world, accelerated by our 14 Orange Fabs. Start-up pitches will be given throughout the day.
For Saturday, when the doors are open to the general public, AI workshops will be set up with the objective of drawing an AI, and “Super Coder” sessions will teach children how to code.

Wi-Fi at Viva Tech

Orange has joined with Cisco in a collaborative innovation initiative to co-build a fully connected event. In record time, Orange brought its full range of expertise to setting up the network architecture, with more than 200 simultaneous connected antennae throughout the trade show.

The Paris 2024 immersive experience with Orange

Orange and Paris 2024 present an exclusive opportunity to live an immersive experience which plunges spectators into the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, thanks to unique Overlap Reality® technology. The experience includes an aerial view from the third floor of the Eiffel Tower of the compact Olympic and Paralympic sites and follows the celebrations along the Seine River; it will be available at the Paris 2024 booth during the three-day Viva Tech event.
The start-up inventor of Overlap Reality®, Parisienne Sky Boy, will also be present on Saturday at 11:30 am at the Orange area to present its technology and allow spectators to live the experience right there.
The experience will then be available on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris 2024 terrace until September.
