Orange Tunisia: Announcing the first ride-sharing app

Orange Developer Center in Tunisia has just designed “Karhbetna Mobile,” the first mobile ride-sharing application, as part of its support for innovative and responsible technological projects.

Since February 2015, the platform has been connecting drivers wishing to reduce their transportation costs and passengers traveling to the same places. The creator of the app, young entrepreneur Mohamed Wael Soltani, also took part in the 2014 “Prix Orange de l’entrepreneur social en Afrique” (POESA) (Orange Prize for the Social Entrepreneur in Africa).

With the other included functions such as trip search and reservations, the driver rating system and private messaging between ride sharers, the mobile version of the application is a social networking platform in its own right!
