In Moldova, the Orange Foundation is offering excellence-based grants for IT teachers in rural areas

In Moldova, until October 17, IT teachers under the age of 35 working in rural areas can apply for excellence-based grants.

The University Information Center and the Ministry of Education have launched the 2016 edition of this program, with funding from the Orange Foundation. As part of the Orange Digital School program, promoting digital literacy in this country, the Orange Foundation in Moldova is offering an opportunity to win 25,000 Moldovan Leu and a laptop computer for teachers with projects in this field.

With its support, several other major educational initiatives are being rolled out in Moldova:

  • modern infrastructure for better access to knowledge,
  • professional expertise and quality education in information technology, so that knowledge can be shared.

With these grants rewarding outstanding initiatives by IT teachers, the Orange Foundation is encouraging and promoting the employment of young IT teachers in Moldova's rural schools, where there is the biggest shortage of them.
