To tackle today’s mobility challenges, we’re co-innovating with five other large groups within the Software République open ecosystem. The “Mobility 4.0 Challenge by Software République” will enable start-ups of all sizes to showcase their innovation projects aimed at shaping the future world of mobility. Key highlights include incubation in the Software République lab, support from major companies and access to privileged mobility data.
Develop a global mobility offer through co-innovation
To co-design innovative, efficient and high-impact business services, we’ve been supporting the development of start-ups for several years and are involved in a number of open innovation ecosystems.
Because mobility is constantly evolving and must meet many challenges (multimodality, safety, pollution control, etc.), we’re collaborating with the Software République to develop the smart and sustainable solutions and systems that will be essential in tomorrow’s world. The aim is to offer citizens, businesses and communities comprehensive offers ranging from user interfaces to energy management, integrating vehicle systems, service platforms or even network operating tools.
Partners of the “Mobility 4.0 Challenge” have joined forces to pool their data, technical tools, hardware and software prototyping platforms, along with their knowledge and expertise, giving candidates the opportunity to create disruptive, value-creating use cases for mobility in Europe.
A challenge that brings innovative ideas to life
Atos, Dassault Systèmes, Orange, Renault Group, STMicroelectronics and Thales are all partners of the Software République. Through their support, entrepreneurs can help shape tomorrow’s mobility through the “Mobility 4.0 Challenge”, which is open to start-ups and SMEs with less than 500 employees, research institutes, academics and any entrepreneur wishing to develop new mobility solutions on a European scale. This is a unique opportunity for participants to see their ideas become reality with the support of six major companies and to join the Software République ecosystem.
How do you take part? The call for applications runs from 6 September to 13 October 2021. The top 10 applications in the pre-selection phase will go through to a prototyping phase from 20 October to 20 November. Candidates then have 15 days to present their project to the jury using the data provided by Software République members. The key themes are as follows:
- Improving the e-vehicle user experience
- Multimodal accessibility
- Intelligent transport
- Cybersecurity
- Open ideas
The final will take place in December with the winners announced shortly thereafter. Winners will be integrated into and incubated by the Software République, with privileged access to R&D facilities. In addition to potential industrial opportunities, the winners will benefit from media exposure at an internationally renowned technology exhibition and office space at one of Software République's partner sites.
