Ange-Patricia Kanon alias La petite Zota

Known as Little Zota, Ange-Patricia Kanon is an Ivorian dancer and choreographer, born in 1992 in Abidjan. She is one of the leading dancers for Serge Beynaud, the Ivorian star of the Coupé-Décalé style who propelled her to the forefront of the stage.

 

Black Charles

"Democratize electronic music, Abidjan house music. I want people to know there’s really a house scene."

Charles Tanoh-Boutchoue, a.k.a. Black Charles is an Ivorian DJ. After spending several years in the United States, he returned to Abidjan to develop the local electronic scene. He is the co-founder and resident DJ of La Sunday parties.

Bagré Jean Martial a.k.a Mc One is a rapper and songwriter born in Bingerville, near Abidjan, in 2000. His musical career began in 2014 under the patronage of DJ Kedjevara, the Ivorian star of percussive Coupé-Décalé, and his label, 18 avril Production. Seen as the future of Ivorian rap, Mc One is a maestro of Trap, Afrobeat and Coupé-Décalé.

 

Obou

"Braid Art is about finding beauty in everything that's strange and ugly."

Born in 1992, Fredy Obou Gbais, a.k.a Painter Obou, is a young Ivorian painter. His style is “Braid Art”, as he likes to call it. Through his portraits of women, his collages and his photos, he depicts the beauty hidden behind ugliness.

Patche is an Ivorian arranger, songwriter and composer, from a family of musicians. In 1999 - 2000, he met arranger Momo Gustave, who taught him the ABCs of his trade. Today, he is one of Ivory Coast’s leading arrangers of Coupé-Décalé.
