Following the postponed event in 2020, VivaTech, the go-to event for innovation, makes its comeback in 2021. As always, the show and its partners are running a series of competitive Challenges, which offer start-ups and entrepreneurs the opportunity to help solve tomorrow’s strategic issues. Orange has been a Platinum partner of VivaTech for the past five years.
What are this year’s Challenges?
Each year, VivaTech organises a series of Challenges which are based on open innovation to encourage collaboration between start-ups and large organisations. Applicants have been registering since the end of last year, and their pitches will be reviewed by a panel of experts. This is a great opportunity for them to expand their network and visibility, and it can also lead to future collaborations..
For 2021, Orange wants start-ups to pitch around two main themes:
– Tech that can enable progress: 5G, AI and data
– Supporting new sustainable and responsible business models: for the environment and digital equality

These two subjects echo the Group’s Engage 2025 strategic plan, which reconciles business performance with social and environmental excellence.
