Responsible governance
at every level

Our ethics approach is built on the Group’s Code of Ethics, the foundation of our collective responsibility, which sets out four core commitments: respect, integrity, quality of service and team spirit. These principles guide our engagement with all stakeholders and set clear expectations for responsible behavior expected across our teams.

Our ethics program is overseen at every level of the organization, from the Board of Directors and its specialized committees to the network of Compliance Officers and Ethics Advisors present in each Group entity. This structure ensures that ethical responsibility is part of every decision-making process and fully embedded in our company culture.

Our anti-corruption policy, which serves as our code of conduct under the Sapin II law, is based on zero tolerance for corruption and influence peddling. It underpins our anti-corruption risk-prevention program, which relies on risk mapping, third-party due-diligence procedures, rules governing gifts and hospitality, internal and accounting controls, and a “Hello Ethics” whistleblowing channel accessible to all.

Raising awareness and training employees is an essential part of our approach. Each year, we hold Ethics & Compliance Day, a dedicated event that promotes ethics across the entire Group. In 2022, we rolled out a new “Preventing and Detecting Corruption Risk” e-learning module to 13,000 employees, in addition to the 88,000 “Orange–UN Anti-Corruption Visas” issued since 2018. Our goal is simple: making ethics a natural reflex for every employee, regardless of their role or the country in which they work.

Our ethical commitment extends to emerging technological and societal issues. Following the work of the Data and AI Ethics Council created in 2021, we published a Data and AI Ethics Charter in November 2022. This charter commits the Group to developing and using these technologies responsibly, in ways that respect fundamental rights and contribute to environmental and societal well-being. It is built on key principles such as respect for human autonomy, fairness, non-discrimination, privacy protection and transparency. This proactive approach to ethics allows us to anticipate risks and make the most of the opportunities created by digital transformation.

Responsible purchasing for an ethical value chain

Our commitment to responsibility extends across our entire supply chain. We apply a responsible purchasing policy that incorporates social, environmental and ethical criteria into every stage of our procurement process. Our Supplier Code of Conduct, updated in March 2023 and attached to all our agreements, sets out our requirements on human rights, working conditions and environmental protection.
To take our commitment further, we launched the Partners to Net Zero Carbon program, working with suppliers in a collective effort to reduce carbon emissions. We also demonstrate our commitment through inclusive purchasing, with more than €20 million each year going to suppliers that provide supported employment for people with disabilities.
