Orange takes note of the Paris Tribunal’s decision

Orange takes note of the verdict rendered today against the company. As announced, Orange will not appeal this decision.

Independently of this decision, the Group previously decided in July 2019 to create a Compensation Commission to review individual situations. The implementation of this Commission was discussed with trade unions.

The Evaluation and Compensation Committee, which was set up on 1 October, is already examining the first dossiers sent by individuals who were present in the company between 2007 and 2010, or their beneficiaries. This Committee is responsible for finding acceptable compensation solutions with individual with the aim of avoiding long, costly and socially painful litigation procedures for those concerned.

Orange has undertaken a vast social transformation project and has implemented measures aimed at preventing workplace suffering and psychosocial risks at a level that is unprecedented among large French companies. In particular, almost fifteen agreements have been signed with employee representatives in recent years and more than 1,000 employees are directly involved in the prevention of psychosocial risks at work. Far from being set policy, Orange’s social model is enriched each year with new initiatives and new agreements. The Group is continuing its policy of strengthening social ties within the company, in particular through constructive and continuous dialogue with trade unions, and with a view to constantly improving its prevention systems.
