Chief Executive Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA)
Jérôme Hénique has over 25 years of experience in the field of information and communication technologies and telecom operator management.
Over these years, he has worked in a wide range of markets, including France, Spain, Senegal, and Jordan, and has proven to have extensive expertise in managing international teams, coordinating telecom activities on B2C and B2B markets as the incumbent operator and as a challenger, and developing sustainable operational growth.
Over the past 12 years, he has acquired vast experience in Africa and the Middle East.
In September 2015, he became CEO of Orange Jordan, where the diversification strategy implemented for new services helped the company to return to growth and a solid financial performance. He also developed a voluntary environmental approach at the subsidiary by realizing the Group’s first solar farm project.
Between 2010 and 2015, he was the Deputy CEO of SONATEL, where his astute leadership and marketing expertise contributed to the operator’s rapid growth, with priority given to digital and financial inclusion through the development of mobile data and the launch and development of Orange Money services.
Before that, he served as Group Chief Marketing Officer at Orange, Consumer Market Director in France and Marketing Director in Spain, after starting his career as a consultant.
Since 2018, Jérôme Hénique has held the position of Deputy CEO and COO of Orange Middle East and Africa, where he coordinated OMEA’s uptick in sustainable growth, and the transformation of operations, notably by structuring the mutualization efforts between the countries.
In July 2022, he was appointed CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, which represents 18 countries and over 135 million customers.
Jérôme Hénique graduated from ENSPTT in Paris and the Paris Institute of Political Studies.
